About Jackson

Jackson John Reynolds is a biblical scholar and theologian who teaches, preaches, and researches for the sake of the church, the academy, and the world.

He is a PhD student in biblical studies (New Testament) at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he also received his ThM (‘26) and MDiv (‘24). He holds a BA in religion from Wartburg College (‘20) and a graduate certificate in Lutheran learning and formation from Wartburg Theological Seminary (‘25).

His research interests include the Gospels (especially Luke), the parables of Jesus, theological exegesis and biblical theology, the nexus of religion and popular culture, biblical themes of food and feast, reception history, ecological interpretation, Lutheran hermeneutics, and the theology of preaching.

Jackson has served churches in a variety of roles, most recently as Vicar at Messiah Lutheran Church in Springfield, MO.

He is also approved for ordination as a minister of word and sacrament in the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) and a registered and certified hot yoga teacher (RYT-200). He loves running, bar trivia, traveling, and live music, comedy, and theatre.
